Magento

I was nearly succeed that I have updated most of the modules to the newest version but the Mage_Core_Modules-1.6.2.0,then server internal error occurs, how can i came across it ?
Can i just download the entire new Magento version and upload to my host to cover my old program ?
Will this work ?

You can copy all the core files via ftp into your website.

You can also try to change permissions only during upgrade

Just upload a new one to the remote host,and all works well.
