im installing magento 0.7.14 in 1and1, and i have an strange problem.

All is ok, install via ssh, but when im start, installation page is show whitout the css file, no background, no images ... nothing. and when i click on “I agree to the above terms and conditions.”, the page crash.

I have reinstaled it 3 times, and have the .htaccess ok. and chmod ok.

Any sugestion?

Change the ORIGI_SCRIPT_NAME in some files (config.php, functions, php, url.php and config.php) in code - core - mage- model

I’m getting the same issue.
Magento installed OK
When I view the installed site in IE it is fine
When I view it in firefox, there is no CSS.
This is repeatable on different PCs set up by different people.
Not sure what could be wrong

Looks like the files were uploaded with FTP with wrong line endings.

This might happen if you use ASCII mode. Try switching to BINARY , upload skin/frontend/default/default/css/* files to check if that helps

I have the same problem…

After install by 5 time all seems broken, I upload again the files in ASCII mode and everithing looks the same (frontend and backend)

I installed using the installer, so i didn’t use either binary or ascii to upload.
I just downloaded the full packages, and manually uploaded the folders, trying both ascii and binary.
No change, still no css in firefox 2.0.0.11 (the only version I have).
I’ve got firefox web developer toolbox installed, and when you use it to check css, it appears that the basic styles.css has been read and opened, but it doesn’t import the css files that are specified within styles.css - boxes.css etc
