Hi,
to import cutomer in Magento all password have to be hashed with MD5,
and in CS-cart all password are already hashed with MD5,
but a simple copy past of the password field don’t work (with or without SALT)
and after checking the same password from Magento and from CS-cart
it’s look like the Hash are not the same,
did anybody ever imported a customer list from CS-cart !?
that will be really great if the customer password doesn’t have to change…

Regards.

hi

i was wondering why you are transferring from cs-cart to magento?

i like magento, but maybe cs cart is better?

maybe cs cart is more polished, and able to handle some of the simple tasks that magento is currently unable to.

what dont you like about cs cart?

any ideas would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

You can’t do it. CS-Cart and Magento use different md5 encryption algorithms. The best solution is to migrate customers and then ask them to use password recovery form to use their profiles.

Even Cart2Cart doesn’t migrate customer password. And they confirm it on their Magento page
