Hi there,

I went through the installation without any errors, but at the end of it if i go to the homepage (which is fine), i got a 404 not found error when i click on the “log-in” link (same for “my account”, “checkout”, ..)
Also, how do i access to the admin control panel?
I’m getting redirected to this url when trying to go to the admin side:
/www.badgerhosting.com/admin/ and i can’t log-in.

Thanks for your help.
Sandra.

It seems you do not have mod_rewrite enabled in apache configuraiton.

the links at the bottom of the page (About us, Customer Service ..) are working though.
They’re using rewrite rules, aren’t they?

In that case probably your HTTPS configuration wasn’t correct, that’s the common between links you have mentioned.

You’re right i do not have SSL enable on my server, i’ll try to get that working.
What about the admin panel though? I don’t get why i’m getting redirected to another url and what credentials should I use (those I entered for the admin during the installation don’t work)

Thanks

Magento is really not ideal from the point of view of SEO. Very many obvious functions are implemented not quite right. As a variant, you can try the ready extensions. For example, I use this one http://mirasvit.com/magento-extensions/advanced-seo-suite.html and very satisfied with results. There are a lot of similar extensions.
