I have some external php scripts that directly communicate with the database through a html form.

When I place those scripts in the root, then enyone can acces these files through their browser. But that is not the intention.

What I want is the following:

- Run the scripts in a browser
- Only our admins are allowed to access those files

How to solve this issue???

Hello,

this is not a Magento topic, so this is not the right place to discuss these topics.

But I can give you the hint to look for ‘Apache htaccess password’ on google, should give you enough results to solve your questions.
