Magento

hi there .
i am unable to upload product images when ever i add a new product in admin .
i click on browse button , then i select image , upload image . it shows 100% . and when i take cursor on the image it disappears.

can any one help me in resolving the problem .
i am using magento version 1.6.1.0.

It’s for Magneto 1.6.0.0 but I have a hunch that nobody fixed it for 1.6.1.0.
