We have a Magento 1.6 webshop where a customer has to fill in some sensitive information on the product page (it’s for visa request). We have a SSL-certificate but as you’ll know https is only enabled on customer-account pages and in de backend. But we would also need it on the product page, how can we do this?  We have 5 products in our shop so if we would to something manual it’s not really a problem.

We are aware of the disadvantages like speed, caching and SEO, but this is less important for us.

Maybe just setting the URL Base (unsecure) in Admin-> Config -> WEB resolves the issue...if not you have to define a redirect in your apache conf

If you would like to do https with product page, need to do customization. As magento won’t allow to set SSL on product page.

You can enable HTTPS on all pages in the admin.

Alternatively, you can edit the product controller and if HTTPS is not used, then redirect to the HTTPS page.

you can easily set https for all product pages through the Magento Admin area -> System -> Configuration -> Web. There you can define the insecure and secure URLs.
