Im trying to complete my first installation in Magento, and im having some problems at the end of the step Configurations.

I am using XAMPP, and follow step-by-step guide to installing it.

Pressing the Continue, my apache crashes on windows and the error appears: The Apache HTTP Server has encountered a problem and needs to close.

How should I proceed?

Version: Last 1.6.1.0
Type: Full
Windows XP with XAMPP, respecting all the requirements (MYSQL5, PHP5.2.8)

Maybe it’s not enough memory for the PHP process is needed much physical memory? For the detailed information you could look at the log of Apache. It’s hard to say where is the reason ‘cause many scripts are being executed while the installation process.
