any way to “just make magento (store pages) appear in a div on main—non store—site.

like obviously it can be done in a frame - but the question is can it be done in a div

What about using an iframe?

right but isnt using iframe the same as frames where you have all the problems associated with frames?

There are too similars, it’s true.
We made some implementation using two stores and four store views.
The skin of the second store, was modified completely to appear into a frame on another domain.

I know that is possible.
