I have so many “related products” for each item that they are pushing the shopping cart and recently viewed items too far down the page.

How can I move the “Related Products” so they appears below the shopping cart and recently viewed items?

To add to @joyously’s comment:

Open Catalog.xml located in the app/design/frontend/default/theme_name/lyout folder and find this part

<reference name="right">
<
block type="catalog/product_list_related" name="catalog.product.related" before="_" template="catalog/product/list/related.phtml"/>
</
reference>

The part where it says before="_" is where you can specify the order of each blocks, in your case you want the related block to show after the cart so you’ll put after="cart_sidebar"

“cart_sidebar” being the identifier for the side shopping cart.

The end result should be:

<reference name="right">
<
block type="catalog/product_list_related" name="catalog.product.related" after="cart_sidebar"  template="catalog/product/list/related.phtml"/>
</
