500 server error when upgrading to 1.6 from 1.5

Hi,

I was just updating the Google base from magento connect, when there was some error and now eventually having 500 error.

I am not able to log in to admin or open the site. Magento cleaner is also not working.

I have also updated the cgi-bin and .htaccsess file

please help

now i having 403 error and all files are gone.

when i ssh:

Please resetting your permissions just for your upgrade to 777 (755 for cPanel)

After you have your upgrade completed make sure you set your permissions back.
