Magento

Hi, Hope someone can help
I am trying to migrated my magento site from one host to another because my curent host has changed their plan

I have followed the article how to move a magento from

basically copied site over, created db and imported info, changed local.xmk and pear.ini
and for most part all has gone as they expect but images arent displayed and layout is wrong

and the migrated is curerntly http://www.mcivors.ie/public_html
has anyone got any poitners?
I dont understand if the .htaccess files need to be change dor deleted?
