Hi all,

when i click on a Root-Category e.g. Shoes then Magento shows
all Products of all Sub-Categories in the Main-Container.

I would like to change this behavour. A click to a Root-Category
should offers an Overview of all Sub-Categories in the Main-Container.
No Display of Products at these step.

A click to an Sub-Category should display all Products of this Sub-Category.

A simple idea to realise this by Magento’s Core functionality?

Create a cms block with the subcategories images and assign that block to the root category.
