For some reason when I am trying to install I get this error -

Url “http://mysite.com:80/store/” is not accessible

But if I access the url with the port, I am redirected to the Magento install. Can anyone help?

I can’t find out exactly why the URL is “not accessible” and what exactly it means. I can connect and view the URL in the web browser and I come to the magentos directory on my server.

Hoena , do you have allow_url_fopen enabled on your server ? Please check this in phpinfo and let us know.

allow_url_fopen is off on my server due to security issues.

Unfortunately, that feature is the source of a large number of security holes in PHP web applications running on our servers and we have been spending an increasing amount of time handling issues resulting from those security exploits
