How can i give the image source path in file

Hi Friends,

I have facing the problem that i want to put a image at footer and i change the footer.phtml file,

but i don’t know how to give image source to fil?

can you help me to know about it?

Hi, you can simply add full URL into your image if it’s in your /skin/frontend/default/default/images directory

<img src="http://www.yourdomain.com/skin/frontend/default/default/footer.jpg" alt="MAGENTO" />

or use

Mage::getBaseUrl('media');

to get for example /media directory where you can put your images also

but if you want to change design, better use CSS to change/add images as permanent ones

Or, even better, you could use

Mage::getDesign()->getSkinUrl('/footer.jpg');
