Hi everyone

When I check my email logs I can see that it is sent from this address :

This kind of address will be in trouble and not accepted by many servers.

Email are sent with no problem through contact us

But when it comes to orders, invoices etc ................ it’s a headache, no really, it’s a headache.

I did a search file on all magento files and was not able to locate the

1°) Can someone point me where it is
2°) I tried to install the Advanced SMTP with magento connect, it’s instaled but nothing apears in the admin part, I use magento 1.1.8 last upgrade.

Help would be really appreciated as I spent 3 days on it I still stay stuck on that problem, looks like a lot of people have solved this by installing Advanced SMTP wich gives the ability to use authentification. (but for me no way to make it work, nothing in the admin)

Sounds like you need to spend some time setting up your email subsystem! I would not bother with the advanced SMTP, instead get your email configured to not be an open relay by configuring the Postfix MTA (instead of sendmail). Check your DNS records and add Domain Keys and SPF entries. In that way your email will not be SPAM. If you find anything useful along the way, add it to this new wiki article:

1°) I am using hmailserver under windows
2°) How to solve the “SMTPD” 6048 8 “2008-12-05 12:10:11.372” “192.168.0.254” “SENT: 550 Delivery is not allowed to this address.”

At hmailserver forum they told me first to get rid of the .

Could someone tell me where I can find that piece of code ??? Made a search through files with PSPad editor with no results
