Could someone please help me or if not point me in the right direction because it seems like the magento xml file for dhl shipping is wrong, Where is the file located, and if i would to edit that xml file would it work with magento or would it just be a waste of time. I know dhl international shipping api works but the USA system is different and doesn’t work with magento. I have the xml file from os commerce for there dhl system which works fine, maybe we could adopt there script for dhl and get it working with magento. Could some one give me a response if anyone knows anything about dhl api with magento. Thanks

harjot - From all our tests DHL is working correctly. Is there a way for you to PM me temp access to your admin panel so we can look into it more.

I talked to the xml guy for dhl and he said that magento is not in there system and he said i should use oscommerce. Am trying to code the xml file myself but don’t know the what file to edit to change the dhl system for magento.  My account for dhl is domestic api so it could be totally different the the worldwide shipping api.

Hi, this and payment system problems I hope will be fixed in the stable release. I have mentioned before in other posts in this forum, that Magento must either look into existing proven shipping systems (oscommerce,Virtuemart etc.) or create a basic simple manual system , giving then, more time to sort out more complex modules. These important add ons will make or break a cart system. It shouldn’t be ignored. oscommerce DHL module should be looked at. as well as paypal Standard .They Work!
I and others eagerly await the stable release and hope Magento will be a roaring success.

Yea i agree, Am going to switch to ups it seems to work fine. This week i tryed installing the new magento, it worked fine and i was testing the DHL api but it still doesnt work. I just wanted to when this could be fixed because where thinking of launching the store soon. I know its not stable but i would just like to know what doesnt work. Has anyone tested a store and seen if everything works. Like if you buy a product, then ship it with ups and then receive email for the shipment tracking key and final receiving a product. Does Magento work?

DHL requires that we provide them with the XML files showing that the software is compatible with their system before they’ll give us access to their production rating system. Is there a way that Magento can help us with this instead of just telling us “it works”??? It doesn’t work when our user information isn’t activated in their production system yet.

Does no one know how to get the XML that DHL requires?? Without it they won’t allow you on the production system and Magento support seems to be non existent.

Tell DHL that you are not doing custom development, but using Magento as eCommerce platform
Usually it is enough for them to switch you to the live server.

I am attempting to use DHL as well. I contacted DHL and told them I’m using magento as suggested above. They told me that magento is not a supported 3rd party vendor for DHL and I am required to submit test XML request and response files from the magento system before being switched to their production enviroment. I’m really at a loss as to where to start with this and would appreciate any help. I haven’t been able to find much information related to magento and DHL other than the claim that DHL is supported as a shipping option.

I am in big problem with my magento store, I hope someone can help me in this. I am from India, and using magento for the development of my e-commerce website.
I want to add DHL as a shipping method in my stores. Regarding this I have contact to the technical head of DHL in India. He told me in India it is not possible to add DHL for magento. He also said that he has never used magento in india for DHL.

Now I want to know, is the gyu was true? Is anyone using DHL as the shipping method in india
how should I proceed now? Can you please help me in this?

It is possible to integrate DHL in Magento. I just implemented that in http://redbox.airasia.com, it is not in India but it can be done. To proceed, you will need full support from DHL to provide you with the technical documentation and the access to DHL test server along with a test account.  Don’t even begin if you don’t have their support.
