Is there a way in Magento to send and email to a customer based on the product they purchased. We are a software company that also sells hardware. If a customer purchases one of our software’s they will need to receive an email that includes a download link. Any suggestions?
@naca, this is definitely possible but is not supported out of the box with Magento 1.1.8. Downlaodable products will be supported in the next major release coming up 1.2. In the mean time this is something that you can consider customizing on your own.
