Hi,

I am trying to decide if Magento is the correct ecommerce platform for one of my clients. They have given me a list of things they would like on their site - they got this list from the original developer who has left them.

Can anyone help me - I think Magento can do these things but as an inexperienced user I wanted to guru to confirm or deny?!

LIST:

Multiple product images
Product options, i.e. colour/size etc.
Discount codes
Purchase/despatch e-mail notification
‘Free shipping over £xx’ option
Site-wide and per-product/page SEO options (title/description/keywords etc.)
Auto-removal of out-of-stock products
Rotating product homepage feature
SagePay integration (*not* SagePay Direct)
Weight/region-based shipping
‘Show all products’ option
Unlimited page creation
Ability to redirect old URLs
Historical store/product sales graphs
Facebook and Twitter links
Blog-to-Twitter integration
Google Analytics integration
Google Merchant Centre/Google Product Search integration
SEO-friendly URLs
Basic ‘print packing slip’ option
Photo upload option
Blog
Option to denote a product as ‘letterbox friendly’
Import users from CSV file.
Custom shipping label/packing slip
‘Zoom on hover’ for product thumbnails
Ability to specify alternative delivery address per product
Communigator integration
CarryTheOne/Xero integration
Per-category product display position ranking
Live stock reporting

At a glance, about half these features come out of the box and most of the features that aren’t will be available as a module. There’ll be a lot of custom work that needs to be done and the entire project would require an experienced developer with a solid knowledge of Magento.

I think Magento is good options for you.. Half of the things should provides by the Magento; For some functionality there are extensions are available;
you can customize the others things; which is not in default or not available in Magento connect (Magento extensions)

According data import to Magento, I use File2cart for it. It makes the proses automated, and it is possible to import different file formats, not only csv.  Also you can set up scheduled data import, for your comfort.
