Hello,

my problem is, that I can’t remove some extensions.
I want to remove them because I think if I remove every extension I don’t need my Website will be a little bit faster.

Thats what I get if i want to uninstall:

CONNECT ERROR: community/Find_Feed 1.1.0 is required by: community/Mage_All_Latest 1.6.0.0

CONNECT ERROR: community/Lib_Google_Checkout 1.5.0.0 is required by: community/Mage_Core_Modules 1.6.0.0

CONNECT ERROR: community/Mage_Locale_en_US 1.6.0.0 is required by: community/Mage_Core_Modules 1.6.0.0

CONNECT ERROR: community/Phoenix_Moneybookers 1.3.0 is required by: community/Mage_All_Latest 1.6.0.0

How can I delete these modules?

Thanks
Yunus

Have you tried switching them off instead? Configuration -> Advanced.

Ive tried switching the modules I want to delete off but it doesn’t work.

Should I turn off Mage_Core_Modules or would it crash my system??

Edit:
I tried to delete google chekout via Connect and now my page is temporarly unavailable.

“Service Temporarily Unavailable
The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later.”

What is the reason for that?
I deleted the cache via FTP but it doesn’t helped.

To completely remove a manually installed module, you must delete all the original module files.

Thanks for your answer but can you let me know where these files are?

I don’t know where and how many files I must remove.

Thanks a lot!

Unfortunately not, you need to find the original module, make a note of all the files unique to the module and then remove them from your server.

I’ll chime in here.

To get rid of that error message, FTP to the root of your installation of Magento and delete the file “maintenance.flag”. Magento is setup so that when this flag is set, the entire site will be shut down.

Has anyone seen this error when trying to uninstall an extension through SSH?

./pear: line 28: /hsphere/shared/php5/bin/php: No such file or directory
./pear: line 28: exec: /hsphere/shared/php5/bin/php: cannot execute: No such file or directory
