FWIW I print mailing labels so I can send customers thank you letters and coupons. I use the Export to .csv file, then use the mail merge in Word to select the cells. It works ok, definitely better then manually doing it!

Hi i follow all the instructions but when I clic on the “print label” bottom I get this message “The requested URL /print_label was not found on this server.” I use a custom template but i think this not afect to back end. Any one be so kind to help me?

Thank you

Anybody that is looking for a turn-key solution should check out Mercury Web Shipping.  There is a video showing how to use Mercury with Magento.

Has anyone implemented a label-printing solution for drop-Shippers?

Specifically, we’d like to generate UPS shipping labels for orders in PDF format, include the labels as attachments to order notification emails that are sent to drop-ship locations, where the labels are printed and the orders fulfilled.

The process of generating the PDF shipping labels and emailing them to drop-shippers should be entirely automated, without the need for human intervention (i.e., click to print)

Take a look at this extension:
http://www.cobbconsulting.net/services/shipping-solutions/magento-fedex-extension.html

It allows you to print a Shipping Label by the click of a button from the Magento Admin.

The Shipping Label is a PDF document that is generated by FedEx.com (without doing anything but clicking “Print Shipping Label").
