I sell computers and would like my customer service staff to be able to take a phone order and build a computer. The computer is in the catalogue as a “bundled” product. This allows customers to choose their ram, hard disk, casing etc through the front end of the site, however our phone sales staff would like to be able to configure a computer over the phone using the bundles product SKU and build this item through the sales --> orders --> create new order screen. When we go to add the bundles product to the order, it does not appear, you can only add each component indivudually.

Is it possible to add bundled products to order in this way? is there a plan to include such functionality?

Yes, this is already implement in Magento during the product creation under the “Custom Options” tab (the last one).

You can create orders under the admin in the customers file.  So if the customer already has an account, you can create a new order with them.  So create the customers file, then place an order under their account
