www.magento-china.com

------- - do sub domains fall under the trademark to? -----

Could you please clarify the above, as I would also like to open a ,magento theme website using a magento name in my domain name, and I feel all these guys are getting a head start on me because I am trying to do the right thing, if I open a site with magento in the domain name selling magento themes & extensions etc, will I be prosecuted or is there a means to apply for exemption and if so have all these other sites done so and how do I do it?
Our trademark policy has been public since the first day of our launch and we have and will continue to protect it. This does in fact include subdomains.
Just curious but if it was a whole world say “MagentoBowling” something random since its 1 words it would be seperate to Magento? For example “Amazon” wouldnt be the same as “AmazonDirect”. If that makes sense? Cause how I see it “MagentoBowling” would become a whole new brand name in itself seperating it from Magento alltogether. If not the surley anyone could be done for using parts of words like “Magento” using the part “Mage” if that is allready a trademark? I just want to see where this stands.
