Magento connect Manager problem

Hi all,

I have a problem installing extensions through the Magento Connect Manager. In the settings tab, all settings are set and saved, when I do this, the manager responds that all is saved correctly. When I go back to the ‘Extensions’ tab and try to download an extension, the manager only gives me an error: “Invalid login credentials”.

What credentials can be wrong if the settings tell me all is right?

I added screenshots of both screens

Just remove “connect.cfg” from the downloader map.

Hi all. I am so desperate that I am about to throw my laptop out of my window!!!

I searched on Magento website, on Google but nothing works for me.

I try to install some extensions (for a proper version, so that is not the issue), but I always get random error messages.

So first message I get when installing (trying) extension is: “Cannot connect to host: magento-community” or ”Invalid response headers returned from server.

So I somehow found in this forum, that the problem is in the settings. OK, let’s connect to FTP then. But here is the second problem as I am unable to connect to my FTP. The error is mostly: “Deployment FTP Error. Cannot chdir after login to: /var/www/vipnakupy.sk/web/shop/”

I tried everything written in forum posts but nothing works!!!
Anybody any idea?? Thanks

Ok, just for the record:

a) you delete or change the name of the file ‘connect.cfg’ with your FTP-Client, FileZilla, for example.

b) What helped in my case was to re-save my Administrator-User in Magento - I re-entered the password and re-saved the corresponding user-rights.

With the next login to Connect Manager from the Magento administration, the login worked.

Hope this helps ...

Cheers,
Johannes
