I have made a mistake and set the admin resources to none and now I can not see anything in the backend.

Please advise and help, as our website is in production and here is the only source that I can get help.

Thanks and waiting for your kind help…

I think you are talking about accidental removing privileges for your self on the magento backend. Permissions for backend users are stored in the admin_rule table. Make a backup of the table before trying any of this! You should be able to safely delete all entries with in this table (SQL: truncate admin_rule;) then repopulate it giving full access to all users (SQL: insert into admin_rule (role_id,resource_id, role_type, permission) SELECT role_id, ‘all’ AS resource_id, ‘G’ AS role_type, ‘allow’ AS permission FROM admin_role). This should work… in theory.

Hi,

Thanks for the information and your time.

I did all. But still not working. I had a user (role_id:4) and set most of the resource_id to allow, but none of the users have access to user and permission in the backend.

I also attach the screenshot of the PHPAdmin for your reference.

Please advise how to fix it.

Many thanks…

UPDATE `dbase_name`.`admin_rule` SET `permission` = ‘allow’

dbase_name is the name of your magento database
admin_rule is table (if you have tables prefixes add your table prefix)

I am having similar problem.  I can access admin, but cms pages say Preview.  Not giving me access to edit.

These are mydbase Rule settings.

1 1 all NULL 0 G allow

I tried creating a new user and that didnt help.
