Hi guys,

I’ve been trying all day to figure out why certain things are misplaced in IE versus Mozilla.  I use Firefox and everything looks great.

But when I check the page in IE it’s totally screwy (I hate even having to open IE).

Please note that I am NOT a programmer and I’ve been trying all day to fix this.

Basically, there are three parts of the page that are showing problems in IE.

1) The toplinks (which were moved to just below the logo) are showing up in the center of the page instead of being aligned to the left
2) The vertical menu has white bars underneath any category with subcategories
3) The first product in the featured product section (taken from a guide on the forum) is chopped and the resulting white space links to the main callout

I’ve also noticed that the pointer turns into the “I” bar (as if you’re writing text) on the right half of the header?

Again, everything in Firefox is looking and functioning perfectly (this is a work in progress, btw).

Does anyone have any advice for me?

Many thanks in advance.

1) can be done in iestyles.css by changing the used class to “position:relative; left: -10*try it* px”
2) also in this file but do not know the class, butt css viewer or firebug should help
3) don’t know

tobik99, THANK YOU SO MUCH

I didn’t even consider to look into that file.  Really is terrible that there has to be a separate stylesheet dedicated for IE inconsistencies.

By the way, for anyone who wants to test their sites in other browsers, you can use these two useful services:

http://ipinfo.info/netrenderer/

Also, make sure you understand that the browser market breakdown is as follows:
