I need the compiled php5-cgi binary mentioned in the php4 installation info: (http://www.magentocommerce.com/knowledge-base/entry/installing-magento-on-a-php4-server). The link to on that page is empty!

Step 1:
It is possible to compile a PHP5 binary yourself, but for the purposes of this solution, we’ve provided one for you. You can download it here: http://www.magentocommerce.com/support/php5cgi/php5-cgi

Nope, you should do “Download” or “Save as” on the link http://www.magentocommerce.com/support/php5cgi/php5-cgi
There is no need to click on it to display the contents unless your web browser offers you to save the file.

Check this thread: http://www.magentocommerce.com/boards/viewthread/69/
