Hi,
If you have any problem with chmod and upgrade magento connect, try this before :
- in SSH : in you re first folder : find .-type df -print | xargs chmod 755 > (d=folder f=files >all folder and files)
Upgrade must be ok.
After upgrade in SSH : -type f -print | xargs chmod 644 and change permission (775 or 777) on folder app/etc, /var and /media
Enjoy !

*** Always before update make backup ! command : tar cvjf myfile.tar.gz2 /folder

I fallowed the instructions, however my admin interface shows “Magento: 1.5.0.1” at the footer.
In Magento Connect it mentions Admin as 1.5.1.0.

During the install process I got a 503 error.
In Magento Connect I told it to reinstall the packages (including the new ones that appeared) and my website came back online.

@carouze / @manuel.bago
welcome grin

@ehm01
1. You must logout / login
2. Then press Check for upgrade button
3. The Mage_All-Latest is colored yellow
4. Select in this field (action) 1.5.1.0 and press Commit Changes

It’s not difficult wink

VG Stefan

I did it that way but there is a problem:

Service Temporarily Unavailable

The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later.

Please help me, I can’t go on!

@capola,
delete the file maintenance.flag in your magento root.

@carouze
Copy the attachment Mage_All_Latest-1.5.0.1.xml in your folder var/package.
Then logout and login again.
Now you see the selection Mage_All_Latest.
Klick the Check for upgrade button and select the Version 1.5.1.0.
Press Commit Changes and the upgrade will running.

VG Stefan

I just did this and it worked for me on the first try. Thanks!

I have the same issue for version 1.5.1.0. (trying to upgrade to 1.6.0.0 but no extensions at ConnectManager)

I would be grateful if you could post the file for it.

Thank you,
Harry

Hi,

I would like to upgrade from 1.5.0.1 to 1.5.1.0
I followed steps

uploade Mage_All_Latest-1.5.0.1.xml

After click on “Check for upgrade” button I did not find any upgrades. I think I have an issue with upgrading extensions, because I have installed Fishpig Wordpress Integration version 2.1.19, and currently there is latest version 2.1.22....

Any ideas how to fix this ? Thanks.

Hi,

I had the same issue. The upgrade process seems to be triggered when clearing your cache. You have to force magento to look in the package folder in your /var directory, where the xml file resides.

It may also help to set the preferred state to ‘stable’ in your Magento Connect Manager settings.

When logging out and logging back in it showed me the ‘Mage_All_Latest’ option.
