Does the CSV1 support work? When I create a CSV1 file per the documentation, it does not set the parent-child relationships correctly.

csv1 are working fine wink

please see test_single_row_style.csv1 and compare it to your file export csv (for column names, etc)

regards!

Hi. Question about category creation with this application.

If I have a product in nested categories such as

Animals
- Cats
- Dog
- Gerbils.

If I export a product which is in the Animals->Cats category, it appears in the CSV as “Animals/Cats”. If I then delete all products & categories (To reproduce a client doing a fresh import of our products” The category that gets created is a single root level category named “Animals/Cats.” instead of a category ‘Animals’ & sub category ‘Cats’.

Is there a proper syntax available for creating non-existent subcategories, or is this something not currently supported?

Thanks!

CSV1 is still not working for me. May I send a sample? I made sure the column name was _associated_skus and the parent had the skus of the children in it, with commas..

Hi!

For .csv files you must put every category name in new lines:

"TEST1-S1-48","simple","base","Default","2011-4-8","Shoes","TEST COLLECTION","1","1","1.10","1","999","48","43.90","1899-12-31","2","TEST1-S1 (48)","TEST COLLECTION","TEST COLLECTION",,

,,,,,,
"MALICIA",,,,,,,,,,,,,,

for .csv1 files, you can put it in a single line, comma separated:

"TEST1-S1-48","simple","base","Default","2011-4-8","Shoes","TEST COLLECTION,MALICIA","1","1","1.10","1","999","48","43.90","1899-12-31","2","TEST1-S1 (48)","TEST COLLECTION","TEST COLLECTION",,

hope it helps!

It looks like a really great extension!

Question, does it import Simple Product with custom options.  I don’t see this option from the CSV files that come with your extension.

Thanks!

Sure! I’m importing some custom options to real (in production) sites. Like ‘size’, ‘kind’, ‘Gender’ and so on…

Regards!

HI amartinez, thanks for the response. Which CSV file is that ? I can’t find the attributes you mentioned in the 3 CSV sample files. What should the column be named for Custom Options?

@kerol77: (about boolean attributes)

please try this: create a simple product, with your needed attributes, then export. What appears in these column fields?

thanks!

in any case, you can do:

./mage mage-setup
./mage install community (magento connect key)

I think Varien track these clicks, so please click on magento connect :D

did you mean that I can create a tarball in that way?

Hi all,
sorry sorry to bother you but i don’t find any way to use this fabolous extension.

Could you please give me some explanation about this?!

regards

Of course!

For now, this is a command line script.

You must login to your magento server via linux shell (windows: putty, mac: terminal), then:

cd /your/store/root/folder
php
-f app/code/community/AMartinez/CustomImportExport/shell/run.php -- -h

This script works together var/customimport .csv / .csv1 files, and of course media/catalog/product/ image (.jpg) ones

Please tell me any suggestions or problems!
