Hello Friends,

I am new to Magento and trying it for the first time.

There is an installation problem and I need your help.

Here is my Dev Environment details.

OS : Windows XP
Server: AppServ 2.6
PHP Version : 6
MySQL: 6..0.4

Steps I already did…
1] Downloaded Magento Community edition
2] Unzipped it under www folder of my Appserv with hierarchy as www/rnd/ecommerce/magento
3] Ensured all the Extensions (.dll) files are available under ext folder of PHP and everything is enabled in PHP.ini
4] Created a host name like http://www.localhost.com
5] Downloaded dummy data for magento shop
6] Created a db called \’magento\’ and imported the downloaded dumy data into it.
7] the mysql db username is root and password is also root
8] Restarted server
9] Now hit a URL as http://www.localhost.com/rnd/ecommerce/magento/install.php and I get following error message…

Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_magic_quotes_gpc() in C:\\AppServ\\www\\rnd\\ecommerce\\magento\\app\\code\\core\\Mage\\Core\\functions.php on line 32

Searched a lot on the web, read various forums and solution, but no luck.

Am I missing anything folks? Your help is highly appreciated.

Best Regards
Rahul
