Is there any way - instead of “adding to cart - to configure a Magento store so that when someone builds a configurable product, they can submit the configuration as a QUOTE REQUEST instead of going through a checkout process?
So, for example, let’s say that I have a custom Golf Clubs site - and I have a list of vendors who make custom gold products. The customer would select the configuration he wants through the list, and then the compelted specifications would be automatically submitted to the designated vendors ... after which the vendors can then submit their bids through a designated process.
Any thoughts as to whether something like this might be possible?
