Hello

Yesterday I upgraded my 1.4.1 store to 1.5.0.1 following this steps from Veracious in this thread: http://www.magentocommerce.com/boards/viewthread/219570/P30/

Everything seemed to be updated fine. I entered the admin panel and it was saying that the version is 1.5.0.1.

So I went to the MCM to look for modules upgrades and saw that Mage_Core_Modules version was still 1.4 (How come??)
Tried to upgrade through MCM and gave lots of erros of conflicts:

Package community/Mage_Core_Modules 1.5.0.1 conflicts with:

So I tried through SSH. Lots of attempts with different combinations of codes

./mage mage-setup
./mage sync
./mage upgrade-all -force
chmod 755
./mage
./mage install http://connect20.magentocommerce.com/community Mage_All_Latest

and nothing!!
It keeps telling me to

/public_html $ ./mage sync
Please initialize Magento Connect installer by running
:
./
mage mage-setup

What should I do?? Lot of time wasted trying to update!!

Thanks

Hello,

Assuming you have backed up your files and your database (right?! rasberry), try the following from your Magento document root:

mkdir upgrade
cd upgrade
wget http
://www.magentocommerce.com/downloads/assets/1.5.0.1/magento-1.5.0.1.tar.gz
tar zxvf magento-1.5.0.1.tar.gz
cd magento
cp
-pvr ./* ../../
cp -pvr ./.ht* ../../
cd ../../
rm -rf ./upgrade
cd ./var
rm -rf ./cache ./session

Hope this helps! smile
