We are testing a newly created Magento Mobile iPhone App with Magento CE 1.5.0.1. We uploaded and replaced the default graphics for the Header Logo, Banner and App Background but did not immediately see them in the mobile app. Eventually they showed up but we still have a need to tweak and revise them. We changed the graphics once more but now the new graphics are not displaying on the iPhone App. We\’ve rebooted the iPhone, done a \"reset\" on the iPhone, even changed the cache settings for the Mobile App with no luck.

How do you force the iPhone App to \"refresh\" and display new graphics or CSS styles?

As an aside, I\’ve checked and confirmed all folders/files within our xmlconnect directory are set to 777.

If you resave the application from the Magento Admin panel and restart/quit the app from the device, you should see the latest changes of your configuration. You don\’t need to reboot iPhone to see the configuration changes.

The functionality you describe is not working for us. We’ve applied different versions of the graphics, saved, opened the Mobile App and it is the same view as the last time the App was opened. We even went one additional step deleting the original app, created a new one, entered the new app code in the iPhone settings panel, opened the app and it was still the previous view (not the newly created store). It seems as though the settings changes saved in Magento 1.5.0.1 CE are not getting sent to the app and “refreshing”. Rebooting the iPhone yields the same results.

We are now dealing with a new issue. In attempts to get the design changes to “refresh” on the mobile app, we rebooted the iPhone. Going back to the Mobile App after that reboot causes it to crash everytime we attempt to open it. The “loading” indicator gets to 100% and then the Mobile App on the iPhone disappears/goes away. We even went back to the default URL and App Code for the Mobile App and the same thing happens.
