Hi there,

I am having real trouble upgrading to the latest Magento. I originally created my products and relationships in the 1.0 release. I successfully upgraded to 1.1.2 by reinstalling using my existing database and likewise for 1.1.3 but now when I try to install the most recent Magento (1.1.6) using my existing database I get the following error:

Error in file: “/home/pinktcom/public_html/app/code/core/Mage/Api/sql/api_setup/mysql4-install-0.7.0.php” - SQLSTATE[42S01]: Base table or view already exists: 1050 Table ‘api_assert’ already exists

#8 /home/pinktcom/public_html/index.php(52): Mage::run()

I am not sure what the function of the databse Table ‘api_assert’ is and am totally stuck.

If anybody can please shed some light on how to fix this I would be extremely grateful,

Massive thanks in advance,

Rob

Same problem here, except on mysql4-upgrade-0.7.4-0.7.5.php.

have you guys tried directly commenting out the lines to create a table in one of the mysql-upgrade-x php scripts ?

That is what I finally did, and it worked!  I was able to upgrade to 1.1.7 successfully and now 1.1.8.
