Hello,

Are you connecting to /downloader on the primary domain? Sometimes it’s picky about which domain you try to use.

I have several test installations of Magento installed on Ubuntu server v 10x with GUI installed.

I had a 1.4.1.1 installed directly into www/ and I did this.

With the GUI, I downloaded 1.5.0.1 and unzipped it into www/magento/

Then I simply moved all folders from www/magento/ into www/ (again with the GUI)

The pop asked what to do with the files and I selected “Merge” and then “Replace”.
(That would result in all new files being added, and any files with the same name being replaced with the newer version).

So far, it appears that everything is working fine as version 1.5.0.1.

How did you upgrade the DB tables?
