Hi, I’m not sure if this is specifically an upgrade issue as this is a new site. So, for some reason when you click into an order and try to convert using the invoice or ship buttons, you are unable to save the newly created invoice, etc, when you click on submit.

Any ideas why this would occur?

Any luck with this Patrick? Getting the same error on invoices.

Having similar issue too.  I have tried manually reinstalling 1.5.1.0, Removing AW Blog which I upgraded shortly before noticing issue, Removed all of the VERY slightly changed (hours only) email templates I made. I have tried disabling the invoice and shipment emails.

New order email goes out just fine, but nothing with invoice or shipment, I get,
“Cannot save shipment” or “Cannot save invoice” depending on which I try.

I have same situation when I trying create invoices or shipments.
Im’ Get 1.5.1.0 version just a week ago.

Guys, did you solve the problem? I can’t seen to find a way here. On my case only shipment doesn’t work. Invoice is working.

Was a solution ever found for this.  We cannot save shipments and are unable to save invoices.  Working on this for days with any fix.  Any help would be much appreciated

Had the same problem.
Try to download a fresh current version of your magento.

Find the files after this link, and replace them on the server
www/app/code/core/Mage/Sales/Model/Order/Invoice

Looks like the files was not updated correctly trough magento connect.

this doesnt work…

didnt upgrade but added sweet tooth rewards and a couple other things. now this message is displaying for invoices and shipping. THOUGH its not saving, it is still processing and customers are still receiving emails… how to fix???

**RESOLVED**

The same issue was happening to our 1.5.1.0 installation and it was caused by the recent installation of M2E or the magento 2 ebay extension. Once uninstalled the issue resolved itself.
