hello,

After installing any module using magento connect i get the following error when going to the admin, for example:

Fatal error: Class ‘Fooman_Jirafe_Helper_Data’ not found in /home/LALALALA/public_html/app/Mage.php on line 520

I have check the file and folders permissions and they seem fine.

Any thoughts?

I have done a new installation plus data migration and everything is working.

I follow most of this guide http://www.magentocommerce.com/wiki/groups/227/moving_magento_to_another_server

Be carefull with permissions. Dont unpack the files and manually upload using ftp, it will corrrupt the file permissions.
