cant fresh index “Category Products”

hi, all

Please anybody can help me, i dont know why my website can’t fresh the index of “Category Products”. it always show “processing”.

when i press “Reindex data”, there’s a message said"Cannot initialize the indexer process.”

anyone can help me? thanks..

The first thing you should definitely make sure you do in this sort of situation is back up your files and database. You can never have too many backups smile

The next step in our experience is to repair the database by comparing it to a fresh copy of the same version.

The way we do this is we install Magento to a demo folder, with a demo database, making sure to use the same table prefix when installing.

Once complete, we use the repair tool:

You’ll have to actually click around to download it.

It’s rather easy to use - you simply give it the credentials of your “broken” (live store) database, and the credentials of the fresh database, and let it run. It can take some time, but in about 80% of cases this has fixed the issue with the indexer process.
