does every Magento store use one of the inbuilt shipping modules (DHL, Fedex)? I’ve read a doc on adding a custom shipping module but it looks lacking in details - how does the whole process hang together?
How does it communicate with the payment module so confirmed payments are automatically shipped?
How does the tracking number get linked to an order and be added to the confirmation email?
What if the sales confirmation arrives from the payment module 2 days after the order was made?
any help with an overview of how to automate the shipping process will be appreciated
