Does it work if you leave “Spreadsheet Name” field empty?

I gave the Ms Excel XML file name < Path >.
That is when it gave me both the errors, as specified in my first posting.

I tried without specifying Spreadsheet Name and this is what it has displayed:

Starting profile execution, please wait…
Starting Varien_Convert_Adapter_Http :: load
Starting Varien_Convert_Parser_Xml_Excel :: parse

“Invalid data type, expecting string.” -------- Error Message

Finished profile execution.

I’m having exactly the same problem - whatever I do I can’t import data. I exported a .csv and have edited to add in new products, but whatever I try, field mapping on or off, importing as xml, I just get an SKU not found message. Is anyone else still having this issue or has a solution been found?

Hello,

After hours of search, I just got the answer. I can confirm it’s works !!
I did it with a csv file :
- make sur the separated are ‘,’ other change in ‘;’ in your System/import/profile
- You can keep first row with all names of the attributes but :
- first field must be entity_id
- second field must be SKU !!

Try it and have fun !  grin

Nice work Phil!

Maybe this would be a good posting to move to the Magento DataFlow forum?
