Tier price when ordering multiple variants of a product?
i have a product with 2 variants (color red and blue) and a tier price at 5 piece.
When I order four pieces of color red and two with color blue , i have a total sum of 6 pieces in my basket and I expect to get a tier price of this product (because i ordered at least 5 pieces of this product).
But: the tier price does not get selected in my basket, because Magento do not calculate the two variants of this product to a total pieces.
Is there a way to activate the tier price when ordering multiple variants of a product?
Tier price is not effective in this case. You should try Shopping Cart Price Rules.
Navigate to Promotions > Shopping Cart Price Rules > Add rule
You will have four tabs: Rule Information, Conditions, Actions, Labels. Fill out all these tabs as per your needs.
In tab âConditionâ I have chosen quantity in cart, then equals to or greater, put 2. Also I stipulated âbrandâ. In âActionsâ I have stipulated percentage - 10 (you can also set fixed amount there) In result when my customer place order for brand I stipulated for quantity 2 or more 10% discount is provided. You can also stipulate Conditions and Actions as per your needs.
Although this question is from some time ago, in case anyone is still following this thread, we have a module to acheive exactly as you describe called ‘Tiered Pricing Across Multiple Product’. You group products into discount groups. Then buying any item in your store in the same discount group will count towards your tier discount. You can configure as many discount groups as you like.
It works with any product types (although there are some restrictions on grouping bundled and grouped products with other product types).
