Hello,

first of all, sorry for my english :o(

I am the owner of a website in France which is a magento website.

I have a question about the magento SEO rewriting plugin :

We have created category like ex : “my-category” :

http://www.example.com/my-category.html (where all the products appears)

and also sub-categories

> “sub-category1” for some products
> “sub-category2” for others products
etc…

and we want that this kind of url for example :

http://www.example.com/my-product.html

appears in the main category and ALSO in the sub-category and also in the magento research field
and sometimes in several sub-categories
with this url : http://www.example.com/my-product.html
(because we DON’T want url like : http://www.example.com/my-category/my-product.html)

is it possible to find a solution because nowadays magento allows only two rewriting for the same product ?
(is there something to do in the database to allow more than 2 address ?)

is there a chance that this problem will be solved in the next version of magento ?

Thanks for your help

Sincerely

Gwendal

If I understand you right, couldn\’t you just go to \’System->Configuration->Catalog->Search Engine Optimizations\’ and change \’Use Categories Path for Product URLs\’ to \’No\’?

Magento seo rewrite can cover categories. But it can not cover attributes.

Check this extension http://mirasvit.com/magento-extensions/advanced-seo-suite.html . It makes layred nagation URLs SEO-friendly. Like /electronics/computers/laptops/sony.html.

There is a demo http://demo.mirasvit.com/seo/electronics/computers/laptops/sony.html
