Installation problem at wamp

Hi,
I am trying to install magento at my local mechine. I am using Windows XP.
I perform following steps for magneto installation.

1-Download magento-1.4.2.0 from http://www.magentocommerce.com/download.
2- Un zip the magento-1.4.2.0 and place it in the www folder name is magento.
3- Create a database evs_magneto at phpmyadmin.
4- Then I got to http://localhost/magento/
5- It pass the License Agreement and Localization
6- It Configuration point I provide the datebase name. At that point I found a message under Base URL

Please enter a valid URL. Protocol is required (http://, https:// or ftp://)

there I provide IP address of my PC http://200.200.200.54/magento/.
7- Pass the Create Admin Account
8- Then I go at admin panel login http://localhost/magento/index.php/admin/ but It’s does’t allow me to loign I know I am giving correct username and password.

Please help me to start smile.

You need a qualified domain. You can’t use localhost.
Try using 127.0.0.1 or creating a vhost as magento.localhost or whatever you prefer.

I have comment call_user_func_array(’session_set_cookie_params’, $cookieParams); at this file, and it allows me to login at admin
app/code/core/Mage/Core/Model/Session/Abstract/Varien.php

Thanks for reply.  I have install fresh copy of magento. and provide 127.0.0.1 in base url and it works for me thanks.

I cant install cause appear this message : This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept
cookies. 

I have delete all cookies, i have create new database...but nothing...i have used magento 1.4.1.1

What can i do ???

I need help to resolve this problem...has anyone an idea ???
Can someone tell me step by step what i can do to resolve the problem of :

“The page isn’t redirecting properly” and “This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies”.

Please help me… :((((

I also have the same problem with the address:
already changed to http://127.0.0.1/magento and it does not pass over.
I tried it on wamp and zend.
Does not work in any of the two.
What’s happening?

already did that too.
The system simply does not continue the installation.
everything is paralyzed.

In the MAMP application, go to Preferences, choose the PHP tab, and change it to PHP 5.2.17.  It will restart MAMP, and then you should be able to complete the install fine.
