Magento

I have set up some product catalog promotions on my Magento store and for some reason the rules need re-applying every day, otherwise the promotion does not show up in checkout.

I read about setting up a cron job so that I don’t manually have to re-apply these rules.

Should this work?

How do I go about doing this, Cpanel, Script?  My cPanel does have provision for a cron job, but is this all that I need to do?

I’m not a coder so any instruction will be appreciated!

And then, in your Cpanel, create a cron job that runs every 15 mins that looks something like this:
/usr/local/bin/php /home/********/public_html/cron.php (replacing the path with yours).

It can take a bit of fiddling, but once set up and working, it basically takes care of itself.
