1.4.1.1 to 1.4.2.0 Search Results Empty

When i do a frontend search on my site I get \"Your search returns no results. \” But the layered navigation on the left is showing filterable results… Please help me out here.. Do you have any extensions installed at all that could possibly be overriding default search results? It definitely was an upgrade from 1.4.1.1 and not an earlier version?
