I’ve just finished watching the Configurable product screencast, but i still have doubts on how to implement color configuration.
I’m running a cosmetics shop, and under “Make up” there are products that have different colors, but not like a shirt has - red, blue, green etc.
It has slightly differences between colors and moreover they need a code.

I went on Sephora.com to see how they handle makeup sets.

Their way would be an option for me, but Magento doesn’t support that.
An option of showing the color and letting the user choose it and sending the parameter over would also be an option, but it seems very hard to implement.

So, any suggestions on how to implement multiple colors on a product? (in an other way than dropdowns)
