Hi. I have a question. I installed an SSL certificate on my server and activated the SSL option on Magento.  Some elements remain http on the footer at checkout page, instead of https and because of http addresses, a warning displays at checkout with Microsoft Explorer. Some people suggest to change http to https manually on footer. The problem is https addresses are used even on every page. I just want to use https addresses only on checkout page. Is there any way for me to convert http to https automatically on footer at checkout page? Thanks for your help in advance.

If you are hard coding try changing your content links from src="http://mydomain.com/place/page.html" src="/place/page.html"

This will give you the same link on each page regardless of http or https

That will certainly work - if you want something reusable though, give this a try:

href="<?php echo Mage::getBaseUrl(Mage_Core_Model_Store::URL_TYPE_WEB); ?>directory/page.html

Mage::getBaseUrl(Mage_Core_Model_Store::URL_TYPE_WEB) should return http or https automatically based on the url.
