Hi all,

I\’d like to embed a mp3 flash player into the footer of my website so that it plays music on all the website pages (music keeps on playing even if user changes page).

I have tried to apply the code for the google mp3 player to my footer.phtml file:

<embed src=\"\" flashvars=\"audioUrl=\" width=\"400\" height=\"27\" quality=\"best\" wmode=\"transparent\" type=\"application/x-shockwave-flash\" pluginspage=\"\"></embed>

I have adapted the code with the correct URL and file name, but nothing shows up in my footer…

Any idea on how I could fix this?

I’m bashing my head in on this aswell…
Do I need to change the footer.phtml? Or can I reach my mp3 player via a static bloc where I can place the HTML?

I need to place a <head> tag:

<script language="javascript" type="text/javascript" src="swfobject.js" ></script>

and I need to place this HTML:

<!-- Div that contains player. -->
div id="player">
h1>No flash player!</h1>
p>It looks like you don't have flash player installed. <a href="" >Click here</a> to go to Macromedia download page.</p>

<!-- Script that embeds player. -->
<script language="javascript" type="text/javascript">
var so = new SWFObject("flashmp3player.swf", "player", "290", "247", "9"); // Location of swf file. You can change player width and height here (using pixels or percents).
so.addVariable("content_path","mp3"); // Location of a folder with mp3 files (relative to php script).
so.addVariable("color_path","default.xml"); // Location of xml file with color settings.
so.addVariable("script_path","flashmp3player.php"); // Location of php script.

And this in my body:

Powered by <a href="">Flash MP3 Player</a>

I’ve checked out the structure from the files what I need but can’t get around it.
Seems like the community doesn’t want to share this issues because I can’t find anywhere a thread with a “bit more”
info about this.

I know you can buy mp3 players special for magento, but there has to be a work around to play mp3 via a flash player aint it????

HELP would be appriciated, Cheerz in advance
