I have imported my products, they show fine in backend but not in frontend. This has happened before and the only way I got my products showing is by going into each one and saving it. But I have over 100 products this time and shouldn’t have to do this. Yes all my fields are correct and yes I have refreshed cache and reindexed.

This is still an issue in Magento 1.5.0.1+

After “Import All Products” no item shows up in Frontend. Only after manually going in and saving each product.

What is the solution?

Haha - the solution is adding the websites column with value “base” (or your own website code).

Hello,
Indeed when a large number of goods or attributes need to be saved, backend works very slow, as each time you save data the system re-indexes the goods through the entire catalog.
Asynchronous Re-indexing is a solution of this problem. When a product or category is saved it is not immediately re-indexed, but put into a queue. The queue is re-indexed in the background. This greatly speeds up the backend. This mechanism is implemented by using an extension of http://mirasvit.com/magento-extensions/magento-asynchronous-reindex.html
