Okay, so the disk space usage has been steady… but the database size has grown exponentially…

This is a test site that *just* went live in the last few days, and I only have 150 products which are expected to increase to 500 to 1000.

With that in mind, should I be worried about crazy database sizes once live orders flow in? And is there a way to keep it manageable?

Look at the size of your log_* tables, I bet that’s where the increase is coming from, especially if you just went live. I’ve seen over 250MB of data in those tables alone, and it’s nothing but log information! I believe the next release will have a feature to deal with these tables as well, so Varien is aware of it.

I think you are right… thanks.

Unless its a critical update, I’ll wait a few weeks for all the kinks to be hammered out.
